I am very happy that Wira Association Kinta is doing its best in accordance with its aims and objectives. Being a new association we have to build up our funds and resources to embark on money orientated projects like giving financial assistance and or material aid like wheel chair, walkers and the like for handicapped or due to illness to deserving members of the Security Forces. Many of them would be 80 years old or even more. Imagine how some of  the other ranks could support themselves with their current pension leave alone fending their family members.

Our focus last few years has been actively organizing remembrance ceremonies or related events, refurbishing, welding, drawing architect’s plan of the Cenotaph opposite Ipoh railway station and construction was  made possible by  sponsors and well wishers. The state government has assisted in putting up a tower-light to brighten-up the area. While logistics were provided by the Ipoh City Council, the Armed Forces, the Royal Malaysia Police Force  and individuals for Remembrance events. Funds in hand through voluntary donation from Wira members made it possible to run our day to day administration.
